How does the Mass shape our understanding of God and of ourselves as a community of faith? We meet on Thursdays during Lent from 7.30—9.00pm in the Octagon.
The choir can be heard performing Bach’s great setting of the St John Passion in St Mary’s, Maldon, on Saturday 17th March at 7.30pm.
As there was no choral evensong on the first Sunday of the month due to the choir being on their break after Christmas, there will be one on Sunday 15th January at 6pm.
St Mary’s has paid in full its Parish Share for the second year in a row. The allocation set for us in2011 was £32,682.
Everyone is invited and welcome to our services for Christmas, including the Crib service, Midnight Mass, and Christmas Day Mass.
Meet at church at 10.30am on Saturday 17th December. We’ll drive to St Peter’s Chapel at Bradwell-on-Sea for a circular walk followed by a simple Advent candle lit liturgy in the chapel and some lunch.

Sunday 16th October, 6pm Felsted School has a link with St Mary’s, Maldon, in that our director of music, Colin, is also currently their choirmaster. Under Colin, the chapel choir has already engaged in a highly successful tour of Italy and has started receiving invitations to perform around the country.

Saturday 3rd December sees the annual Christmas Bazaar taking place in the Octagon from 10am until 2pm.
Next Sunday (November 27th) is Advent Sunday and we start this penitential season with our annual Advent Carol Service at 6pm.
This is our annual Requiem Mass for All Souls-tide and is a chance to remember our departed loved-ones. It is also one of those opportunities to invite friends and families who might not normally come to church.
