Dear family,

It is wonderful to be here!  Again, what an honour for me to be licenced and installed as your new Priest-in-Charge and what a welcome it was –the video is available on our Facebook page if you would like to catch-up, and it was lovely to meet so many amazing people and please do forgive me if I don’t remember your name, next time I meet you. I was deeply touched by the outpouring of love from you, friends and family that made the occasion such a joyful celebration. I can already sense that you are wonderful people with a heart to love and serve others.

So many people to thank, wasn’t the choir simply angelic? –singing so beautifully that I could not help but thank them immensely during my notices. Dawn, June, Mike and the entire team who worked tirelessly to ensure that we had such a successful welcome have indeed done a brilliant job worthy of commending and so I thank you all from the depths of my heart.

I look forward to share with you what God has put on my heart in my first few sermons, –things that touch me deeply and to hear from you. So, as we begin a new season full of expectation and gratitude for what God has planned for us, our neighbourhood and its people, it is on my heart to listen carefully before we move forward together. My sense is that this will take a while but I can assure you that it will be exciting and worthwhile.

There is so much good here and I feel encouraged and blessed to share in your witness of the Gospel.

Finally, I hope you are coping well with the current cost of living crises. Please be assured that you are all in my prayers.

Every blessing

Fr. Andrew
